Friar plum tree, large black plum 黑宝石李子

Flesh is amber in color, firm, softens slowly after harvest. Good quality; small pit. Harvest is prolonged: fruit is hard ripe 4-5 weeks after Santa Rosa, but sweetest and most delicious several weeks later (mid to late August in Central CA). Trees are very vigorous and productive.
